Hi, I’m Ori.
Let me tell you a little about me.
I’m from a small town outside Denver, CO, so when I traveled to South Africa for my final semester of university, it was a big change. I’ve always been outdoorsy, adventurous, and sporty, so travel suits me. But seven months in Cape Town helped me to realize the world was one great possibility that I wanted to explore and document. The details of my travel — the sights, the smells, the sounds — are what made it such a transformational experience for me. It’s the details I now capture in my films.
I only film an exclusive number of weddings per year because I want to be inspired by the details of your experience, your identity, the things that make you happy. I’m go-with-the-flow enough to know when to take a back seat and let life guide me. But I’m also tenaciously organized when it comes to things that inspire me. I love meeting new people. I love to laugh at myself and I love to share time with my partner. Sometimes I can be a bit sensitive, but I think that allows me to read the room. Especially at weddings, when there are a thousand emotions pin-balling around, it’s good to have people who can pick up on the subtleties that exist in such charged moments.
I began by filming my hikes in Cape Town with just a GoPro and no larger ambition. Six years later, and now I travel all over the world filming the most important day in a couple’s life. I can’t wait to see what story I’ll film next. I hope it’s yours.
